HAGSTROM ANNOUNCES NEW ULTRALUX LINE OF GUITARS

Agoura Hills, CA (Dec 1, 2006) – Hagstrom is very proud to announce the newest line of guitars, the UltraLux series. Available in 3 models, Ultra Swede, XL-5, and XL-2, the UltraLux line features the new Hagstrom UltraLux neck, a breakthrough in guitar construction allowing the necks to be even thinner and faster playing than ever.

“Hagstrom guitars have always been known to have incredibly fast necks and amazing playability. The H-Expander truss rod provides consistency and versatility and the the Resinator fretboard offers the silky smooth feel,” states Gabriel Whyel, Hagstrom USA marketing manager. “But now, the UltraLux neck combines those elements with a new ultra-thin neck construction technology making these necks incredibly fast. The new UltraLux Ultra Swede model features a basswood body, flamed or quilted maple top, UltraLux maple set neck, Hagstrom’s exclusive H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fretboard, abalone and pearl shell inlays, 22 frets, 24¾“ scale neck, Hagstrom stop tail piece, Hagstrom 18:1 tuners, 2 Hagstrom custom 58 pickups, 3-way pickup toggle, and a coil tap.

The Ultra Swede guitars come in four spectacular finishes including Black, Burgundy Burst, Cosmic Black Burst, and Golden Eagle.

The new UltraLux XL-5 and XL-2 models feature a basswood body, flamed maple top, UltraLux maple set neck, Hagstrom’s exclusive H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fretboard, abalone and pearl shell inlays, 25 frets, 25.5“ scale neck, Hagstrom Full Contact Tremolo bridge, Hagstrom 18:1 tuners, 2 Hagstrom custom 60 double coil and 1 HS2 single coil pickups in HSH configuration (or the XL-2 with 2 humbuckers in HH configuration), 5-way pickup selector, and a coil tap.

The XL-5 and XL-2 models come in three stunning finishes including Satin Black, Wild Cherry Transparent, and Indian Summer.
